These fells lie to the west of Windermere, to the south of Langdale and Stake Pass, to the west of Langstrath and to the east of Ennerdale and Styhead Pass.
This section is complete but alternative routes may be added in the future. The routes up Scafell Pike & Scafell which include Lord's Rake are no longer recommended as repeated rock falls have made Lord's Rake quite dangerous which unfortuanately also rules out the West Wall Traverse as it is accessed from Lord's Rake. There are plenty of other routes up Scafell Pike especially the "tourist route" from the head of Wastwater National Trust car park and a walk using the Corridor route may be posted one day. In the absence of a route using Lord's Rake, the usual way from Wasdale would be to reach Mickledore (the col between Scafell Pike and Scafell) then turn left, losing much height to ascend Scafell via Foxes Tarn; this route has not been walked as Lord's Rake was a much more attrcative proposition. Another possible route from Wasdale is to walk up the old Corpse Road to Burnmoor Tarn then up by Broad tongue to the summit. Most guidebooks now recommend starting in Eskdale so as to include Slight Side as well but this is a much longer route than the old Lord's Rake route. This route may be walked and posted in due course.
Holme Fell will also be repeated to obtain better photos.
